Kayak the cool, crisp water of the Kinnickinnic in River Falls, WI with us.
Join us with your own kayak (no charge) or rent from us ($59 plus tax) with advance reservation. To rent a kayak OR to come with your own, email booking@twincitieskayaking.com to RSVP.
This upper section of the Kinni is not too difficult. But there are some turns and obstacles and fast water. So you should have prior kayaking experience and to be competent at steering. As with all river trips, it’s a good idea to bring a dry bag with or leave a change of clothes in your vehicle for your comfort in case you get wet. Always plan ahead for an unplanned dump in the river Conditions on the Kinni are always changing.
Trip is about 2 hours. Bring a lunch/snack and beverage. We like to stop along the way for a break and a swim.
Starting point is at DNR parking lot near N Liberty Rd.

We will meet early to set shuttles. If you want to participate we will be dropping our boats and gear at 11 AM at the START and then cooperating to shuttle most vehicles to the end. Otherwise come with friends and drop your boats at the start, drive vehicles to the end and carpool back to the start with just one vehicle. Parking is very limited so carpooling is encouraged!
Please RSVP if you plan to come

We didn't get to do the Cannon last year and are excited to get out there again! We will start at Riverside Park in Cannon Falls and take out at Welch Mill. The trip is about 12 miles and should take 3-4 hours, depending on our pace and stops along the way. Add an hour or so on either end for shuttling.
We will meet at the END at 11 am to figure out carpooling/shuttling.
Everyone will need to purchase an wristband from Welch Mill in order to get out at the end. It costs about 5 dollars (cash only) to use their launch.
Personally we will be dropping a bike in Welch and bicycling back via the Cannon Valley Trail to pick up our vehicle (then return to Welch to pick up our kayaks). If you don't want to bring a bike, we can all arrange to leave some vehicles in Welch and carpool to Cannon Falls. If you get a ride up, you may need to give someone a ride back to their vehicle after the trip.
We plan to launch from Cannon Falls by noon.
